PAUL Sturrock wants to celebrate his 100th game in charge of Southend United with a win over Aldershot Town at Roots Hall tonight.

Sturrock, who has been in charge of Blues since July 2010, has guided his side to third in the League Two table this season.

And the Scotsman wants to continue the charge for promotion by marking his century of games with another three points against the Shots.

“The 100 games have gone really quickly but I’m pleased with how we’ve done during that time and hopefully we can celebrate reaching the landmark with a win,” said Sturrock.

“It’s going to be hard for us because Aldershot are a well organised, confident side who have had some great results in their last few games.

“But we won at Hereford at the weekend and are unbeaten in four games now so we want to keep it going because it’s going to be an important night.

“Shrewsbury play Cheltenham tonight and Swindon play Torquay so it would be great if we could get the three points.”
