SOUTHEND United’s Bilel Mohsni has his sights set on securing yet more success against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

The Frenchman scored winning goals in both of Blues’ league battles against the Railwaymen this season.

And he is now hoping for more of the same when the two sides meet in the first leg of their play-off semi-final at Gresty Road this weekend.

“Things have gone really well for me against Crewe this season and hopefully that can carry on for both myself and the team,” said Mohsni, 24.

“They probably know who I am now after what’s happened, so they’ve might have more players marking me this time.

“But hopefully I can score against them again and we can get a good result to set us up nicely for the second leg at Roots Hall next Wednesday.”

Mohsni scored twice after entering the action as a late substitute when Southend won 3-1 at Crewe back in October, before he also netted the only goal of the game when Blues beat the Railwaymen again at Roots Hall in February.

However, since then Crewe have remained unbeaten in 16 games.

And Mohsni knows they will be tough to play against.

“Games are always hard against Crewe because I consider them to be like a little Arsenal and they’re in really good form,” said Mohsni.

“They have had some very good results but, no matter who you’re up against, it will be hard in the play-offs because you have to be a good team to get in them. "
