RYMAN ONE NORTH: BOTTOM & RELEGATED
IT WAS a horrible year for Great Wakering Rovers.
A 7-0 defeat at Waltham Abbey was enough to force Ryan Wilkinson to step down as manager at the start of October.
And after coach Danny Heath and keeper Louis Godwin-Green took charge briefly, former Witham Town boss Danny Greaves had a short and winless spell at the helm.
That all paved the way for a return to the club for player-manager Dan Trenkel – who had left the club in the summer after saying he felt they lacked ambition.
Performances improved under Trenkel but results were not good enough; and three wins out of the 22 league games he oversaw meant Rovers finished bottom and facing up to the prospect of Step 5 football in August.
