TAMIKA Mkandawire trained with Southend United this morning as a return to Roots Hall edged even closer.
The Millwall midfielder spent two months on loan with Blues before returning to the Lions in January.
But Southend’s assistant manager Graham Coughlan has confirmed the club are keen to bring the 29-year-old back in.
“Tam was in for training today and we are trying to tie things up with him,” said Coughlan.
Mkandawire made 12 appearances during his previous loan stint with Blues but will only be able to come back for a month.
He will, however, be available for the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Crewe Alexandra.
