SOUTHEND United's assistant manager Graham Coughlan is confident Blues can get their season back on track at Port Vale tomorrow.
Southend have triumphed just once in their last six games.
But Coughlan is certain Blues can pick up an improved result at Vale Park.
“We’re hopeful of being able to go there and get a good result,” said the Irishman.
“We know it will be difficult and one look at the league table shows you why but Port Vale have won one of their last six games and have only scored two goals during that time.
“We need to be going there looking to win, especially after conceding a last minute equaliser against Rotherham last weekend.
“We’ve made things difficult for ourselves now but if we can get on a run then we can still make the play-offs.”
