BLUES boss Phil Brown is to hold more talks with Graham Coughlan about the Irishman becoming the club’s new assistant manager.

Coughlan is expected to make the move up from first team coach following Dave Penney’s departure.

And Brown expects to discuss the situation further with Coughlan in the next few days.

“I will be sitting down and talking to Graham about a contract to be the assistant manager,” said Brown.

“Hopefully we can sort it all out quite quickly and then look to appoint another first team coach.

“I’ve already have eight or nine people come in for the job and that’s without it even being advertised.

“They had just seen the headlines after Dave Penney had left and contacted me to express an interest in coming in to join us.”
