SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made three changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash against Port Vale at Roots Hall.
Ryan Leonard and Michael Timlin have both been recalled in the midfield in place of Will Atkinson and Anthony Wordsworth while further forward David Mooney has been preferred to Jack Payne.
John White has kept his place at right-back ahead of Luke O’Neill while Myles Weston also stays in the side with David Worrall on the bench.
Fit-again Adam Thompson has also been selected among the substitutes but Noel Hunt again misses out with an ankle injury.
Southend United: Bentley, White, Bolger, Prosser, Coker, Deegan, Leonard, Timlin, Pigott, Mooney, Weston
Substitutes: Wordsworth, Thompson, Worrall, Payne, Atkinson, O’Neill & Williams
