BLUES will host Bristol Rovers in the area quarter-finals of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The tie will be played during the week commencing November 9.
And Southend boss Phil Brown is pleased to have been drawn at Roots Hall.
“I’m glad to be at home because we could’ve been facing some very long journeys,” said Brown.
“Bristol Rovers are a so called lesser club because they’re in a league lower than us but you can only beat what you’re up against.
“We will certainly put a team out to win the game.”
