PHIL Brown will be leading from the front when Southend United enter the unknown against Bristol Rovers tomorrow.

Brown will be back on the bench after completing a four game touchline ban.

But the Shrimpers chief is unsure what to expect against the Pirates at Roots Hall.

“I went to watch Bristol Rovers against Bolton in the week and I learnt that we have to be prepared for anything against them,” said Brown.

“Their coach (Darrell Clarke) is not set on one system or team, he varies it and is very open and expansive.

“He could come at us with one of many formations but we need to be focused on getting our display right.

“It’s another big game and I’m just glad to be on the touchline again because it’s been so frustrating watching from the stands.”

Blues secured their first win of the season on Tuesday night, beating Sheffield United 3-0.
