SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has revealed he could be bringing a well known left-back to the club.
Brown has been offered the player – who has represented his country – by an agent.
And the Shrimpers chief may decide to bring him in for training.
“I’ve had an international player who has played in the Champions League thrown at me this week,” said the Blues boss.
“I might have a look at him in training so watch this space.
“It seems as though there are still plenty of players without clubs and this lad is certainly one hell of a player.
“If we can get him in and have a look at his fitness levels then I might have to do a persuading job on the chairman.
“I’m not specifically looking for a left-back but he’s just someone who has been thrown at me. “
