SOUTHEND United striker Simon Cox is an injury doubt for tonight’s meeting with Swindon Town at Roots Hall.
Cox, who bagged 47 goals in 88 games for the Robins between 2007 and 2009, picked up a groin problem in Saturday’s 3-0 win against Bradford City.
And Blues boss Phil Brown fears the 29-year-old may not recover in time to figure this evening.
“Coxy is a doubt for the game,” said Brown.
“He limped out on Saturday and that’s not like him at all so we need to get to the bottom of what’s going on and make a decision from there.”
But Blues will definitely be without Ben Coker tonight.
The consistent left-back injured his ankle against Bradford at the weekend and is expected to receive the results of a scan just before kick-off this evening.
