WITH two games in the space of four days, the Easter weekend will prove key in determining who finishes in the League One play-off places this season.

Fleetwood Town are currently third in the standings and are now seven points behind second placed Bolton Wanderers who seem set to secure automatic promotion.

Fleetwood sit six points clear of the Shrimpers and face 11th placed Peterborough United away from home this afternoon before hosting sixth placed Millwall in what promises to be a key clash for both teams on Monday.

Bradford City, who are in fourth place, are locked level on 72 points with Fleetwood and host 10th placed Oxford United at Valley Parade this afternoon.

On Monday, the Bantams face a tougher test away at table-topping Sheffield United who are now pushing to win League One having already clinched promotion back into the Championship.

Fifth placed Scunthorpe United are two points below Fleetwood Town and Bradford City and travel to 12th placed MK Dons this afternoon before hosting second from bottom Chesterfield at Glanford Park on Monday.

Millwall, in sixth, remain the side most in the Shrimpers’ sights as they are just a point clear of Phil Brown’s side.

The Lions host 15th placed Northampton Town this afternoon in a clash which will see two former Blues players - Neil Harris and Justin Edinburgh - going head to head.

Millwall then travel to third placed Fleetwood Town on Monday. Southend travel to Chesterfield today and host MK Dons on Monday.
