SOUTHEND United left-back Stephen Hendrie will stake his claim for a first team recall today.
Hendrie - who has not started a League game since early September - will line up for Blues’ under-23s at AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.
And Blues boss Phil Brown will be watching the Scotsman in action as he aims to show he should replace the suspended Michael Timlin against Oldham on Saturday.
“Stephen will play the full game and I’ll be heading over to watch it,” said Brown.
“It’s a chance for him to show he should play but John White and Jason Demetriou can also play there so we do have options.”
Timlin will serve a one match ban after being shown five yellow cards.
