SHAYON Harrison is set to join Southend United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old striker came through the ranks with Spurs and is closing on becoming Chris Powell’s first signing since taking charge of the Shrimpers.
Harrison made his first team debut for Spurs as a late substitute against Liverpool in the League Cup back in 2016.
The youngster also scored for Tottenham’s under 21 team at Barnet in the Checkatrade Trophy this season and spent time on loan with Yeovil Town during the 2016/17 campaign, scoring once in 15 appearances, 10 of which came off the bench.
Blues - who are also chasing another striker - have until 11pm tomorrow night to complete the deal before the transfer window closes.
