Poor performance but a talking to from Powell and hopefully a full preparation can be done for next week. Just a bad day at the office.

As a neutral, Southend looked better in the first half with good amounts of possession and some good attempts being made only for that to come to no good in the second half. Walsall didn’t offer much apart from Erhun Oztumer looking dangerous in the second half.

Hugely disappointing. Fans who put all the effort in clearing the snow deserved much better. Think Oxley will be disappointed when he watches replay. Woody needs to start to get some creativity back in the middle. The two new youngsters looked very out of sorts. Dru our best player.

Just one of those days! On another day we get a bit of luck and win 3-0. Neither team posed a real threat just the team that took their chances won. Lets hope the pitch improves ahead of next week.

Looked like a typical Phil Brown performance this season.

Although we are far from the worst team in the League why do we get so many opposing players getting hat-tricks against us while not having a player ever looking likely to do this for us?

Very flat performance. Biggest worry was there was zero reaction to going behind. Only plus point was seeing the return of Kightly and Wordsworth. Couldn’t even think about naming a man of the match for us, maybe Cox or Dru for their level of effort. Want to see a reaction next week.

Was always on the cards. Chris Powell will learn more about the team from this defeat than he has from the wins. Dru Yearwood is a huge plus, learning his trade in the team.

A load of wasted effort all round, from the supporters I mean. Why this match went ahead in the first place I’m still trying to work out.

The hard work and effort from the fans this morning didn’t deserve that kind of performance. Hopefully it’s an off day but level of performance frightens me. We simply didn’t turn up.

Players weren’t at the races and neither were the fans. We weren’t up for it and it’s a shame after all the effort to get the pitch ready. Hope they turn up for Doncaster.

Would’ve thought it was Phil Brown in a Chris Powell suit! Not enough midfielders, kept getting overloaded.
