TED Smith has been offered a new deal at Southend United.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper made just one appearance last season due to an ongoing shoulder problem which was operated on towards the end of the campaign.
But Blues are keen to keep hold of the shot-stopper and are in talks about him signing a new contract.
Smith, who represented England in his youth, came through the ranks at Roots Hall and has made 29 appearances for the first team.
