BLUES boss Paul Sturrock is planning talks with Alassane N’Diaye after the midfielder’s disappointing display against Ipswich Town.

The 21-year-old, who is on a season long loan with Southend United from Crystal Palace, was hauled off at half-time after a frustrating 45 minutes on Friday night.

And Sturrock will hold discussions with the Frenchman in a bid to help him improve.

“I think the Ipswich game welcomed N’Diaye to the demands of the game at this level,” said Sturrock.

“He has to adjust to the pace of the game and learn that in League Two it’s not going to change to suit him so I will be having a chat with him his week.”

Sturrock will also be looking at ways to strengthen the left side of his defence.

Three of the four goals Blues have conceded during pre-season have come down their opponents’ right and that is something Sturrock wants to sort out.

“I always study the goals we let in and see if there is a common theme so it is something I will be looking at,” he added.
