SOUTHEND United manager Paul Sturrock has made four changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon's clash at Crewe Alexandra.
The most surprising of the alterations comes in midfield where Kane Ferdinand has replaced Ryan Hall despite the winger scoring twice at Dagenham and Redbridge in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.
Mark Phillips also comes in for Bilel Mohsni at centre-back while Liam Dickinson and Neil Harris both return in attack with Anthony Grant and Blair Sturrock dropping to the bench.
Southend United: Morris, Clohessy, Phillips, Barker, Gilbert, Leonard, Kalala, Ferdinand, Timlin, Dickinson, Harris
Subs: Hall, Mohsni, Grant, Bentley & Sturrock
