BILEL Mohsni fired Southend United to a dramatic 3-1 victory at Crewe Alexandra with a late double strike on Saturday.

But the Frenchman does not feel it will be enough to work his way back into the starting line-up.

Mohsni replaced Ryan Leonard for the final six minutes at Gresty Road and scored twice in that short space of time to secure a sixth successive win for his side.

However, he still expects to be on the bench when table topping Blues host Morecambe at Roots Hall this weekend.

“It was nice to score two goals to help us win but I still think my role will be as a substitute for a while,” said Mohsni, 24.

“I’m a centre back and Mark Phillips and Chris Barker are playing well at the moment and so is the team, so I think I will have to wait.

“But if I can keep coming on to score then that’s fine by me especially if it keeps us top of the league because it is great to be there at the moment."
