PAUL Sturrock has confirmed Bilel Mohsni will not be coming back to Southend United, even if he fails to join a new club.

Southend rejected a bid from West Ham United for the centre-back and he has since returned home to France.

But, having made it clear he is keen to leave, Sturrock feels there is now no way Mohsni can return to Roots Hall .

“Bilel Mohsni is back in France and is committed to moving on,” said Blues boss Sturrock.

“If he has that mentality then I don’t want him around the place.

“At this moment in time we are trying to move him on as soon as possible.

“There have been lots of sniffs on him and I should imagine there will be a lot more before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

“If nothing happens before then he can always go out on loan but it’s important we move him on and then wait and see what options that gives us.”
