ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Hullbridge Sports host Southend Manor in an Essex derby this weekend.

Sports, who played Greenhouse London after the Echo went to press last night, had won five consecutive games before yesterday evening and have surged up the league following an impressive recent run.

The game also sees a return to his former club for current Manor goalkeeper Lawrence Priddle, who spent five years at the club and made his debut at Lower Road in 2007, when he was 15 years old.

Priddle was on the losing side against in-form Bowers & Pitsea in the week, as they recorded their 13th win in 14 games.

Rob Small will be looking to continue that run against Waltham Forest, the side two points and one place below them in the division.

However, Forest have played 10 more games than Bowers as the Pitsea-based club keep their eyes on the top of the division.

Basildon United face Clapton in what will prove a stern test.

Bees have won four of their last seven games, including a 2-1 win against London Bari on Wednesday night.
