GK – Dean Brill: I played with Brillo at Luton. He was a proper nice bloke off the pitch and helped me massively on the pitch as well with his talking. An all-around top keeper.

RB – Keith Keane: I used to be his boot boy and then eneded up playing with him. Keano could play in many positions and always gave everything in every game. I’m not sure about him wearing Nike Vapours though.

LB – Sol Davis: Another whose boots I used to clean but I played at centre half next to him as well. A lovely geezer off the pitch but on the pitch nothing went past him! Always up to no good with Nico (Kevin Nicholls).

CB – Chris Perry: He helped me massively when I was a young lad with the first team at Luton. Plenty of Premier League experience and a very nice bloke. It is not a surprise that he’s gone into coaching.

CB - Jamie Stuart: He was club captain at Grays when I was there and what a centre half he was. One of the hardest blokes I’ve seen in football and he helped me again when I was a young lad. He loved a bit of banter as well - along with Stuart Thurgood! I still see Jamie as he lives near me.

CM – Kevin Nicholls: What a legend – one the best midfielders I have played with and you wouldn’t want to have a 50/50 with him! The nicest man off the pitch and he would do anything for you, but on the pitch would let you know if you weren’t doing it right. Always up to no good - some mad banter!

RM – Dean Morgan: Morgs was one the best two-footed and skillful players I’ve ever seen. He could play upfront and always nicked a goal. He loved his trainers as well - I never saw him wear a pair twice!

CM – Kenny Davis: I was at Grays with Kenny and we become proper good pals. A box-to-box midfielder who has goals in him. I see him everyday as we are both doing the London Knowledge taxi course . He still tries and get banter on me but it isn’t happening!

ST – Chris Martin: Chris came on loan to Luton from Norwich and you could see why he’s playing in the Championship with Derby now. One the strongest strikers I have seen and he knows where the goal is. Him and Micky Spillane are trouble.

ST – Andy Pugh: I used to play against Pughy when he was in the Gillingham youth team and we ended up on loan at Grays together. What a striker - bangs in goals for fun. Always in the gym or on his stairs doing calf raises! I recently had a night in Coco Bongo, in Cancún, Mexico, and I bumped into him in there!

LM – Glenn Poole: Pooley was superb on the left in his day. Double quick and that left foot of his would put it on a plate for strikers. Also loved nicking a goal for himself - usually a worldy. A good pal of mine.
