ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: Bowers & Pitsea are gunning for the last 16 of the FA Vase when they come face-to-face with Common Sutton Rovers tomorrow.

The match was postponed last weekend due to the weather, and manager Rob Small called for an immediate response after this week's 2-0 defeat to FC Romania in the Essex Senior League Cup.

And Bowers will be confident against the midtable Combined Counties Premier League side. They have only won two of their 11 away league games this term, and Bowers will be favourites to progress and secure a tie at either Bodmin Town or Ipswich Wanderers.

James Stevens will not be able to play, as the new additions was not signed in time to play in this round of the competition, while goalkeeper Louis Godwin-Green, right, is cup-tied.

Basildon United face a tough-looking league game at fifth-placed Wadham Lodge, although three points could see them return to the top of the division. George Light and Grant Hayward are doubtful.

Hullbridge Sports host Sporting Bengal United, looking to add to the 10 goals they have scored in their last two league matches.

Manager Rob Hodgson has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the encounter, although Bengal are only two places and five points behind Sports ahead of the match.

Southend Manor welcome Burnham Ramblers to Southchurch Park, as new manager Stuart Marshall continues to mold his squad.

Following a mid-week friendly against Maldon & Tiptree, Manor added Robbie Norris from Romford and Christy O’Donoghue from Thurrock.

Norris is likely to make his debut tomorrow, with O’Donoghue a week away from fitness.
