My choice is really weird. It is tough as the most obvious one is the play-off final win against Lowestoft Town in 2012/13.
As far as a day goes, scoring and going up was unbelievable. I had my daughter and dad on the pitch and we were huge underdogs. So that will always be the best day.
But the other one I was talking to Danny Spendlove and Danny Glozier about the other day was Leiston away in the same season. I started at centre-half with Matt Fry I think. Spendlove fractured his jaw in that game and I stepped into central midfield.
And I turned into (former Italy midfielder) Andrea Pirlo and I didn’t even have the white boots I’m wearing now!
I scored and got an assist and it was just so odd. It is now the sort of performance you would never associate with me and it is one I won’t forget.
(Former manager) Dan (Cowley) trusted me in a lot of positions. I have played up top and won flick-ons for goals but I hadn’t played like this before.
I did play in midfield in the Ryman North when we had Nick Skelton and John Easterford at the back and I had a good goalscoring record back then.
People know what I’m like. I get stuck in and there is no finesse but at Leiston I was pulling balls out of the air and it was like I was Paul Scholes - maybe it’s the ginger gene!
I like to keep in touch with the old boys and I was doing some work at Gloz’s house recently and I passed a paint tin to him with my foot and he said ‘it’s just like Leiston away!’
I played one other game there and then went back to my old ways - booting it into the stands.
We have got some great results against National League South teams too. I remember beating St Albans in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup. We got a tie at Mansfield and that was a great day too.
We beat Farnborough 7-0 in 2014 and, at the time, they were a big club. That and a narrow defeat against Ebbsfleet United - the Man City of non-league - after a busy run. There are so many good memories.
