WEST Ham have smashed their transfer record to sign Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy.
The Wales captain, 27, has signed a five-year contract with the Irons after the two clubs agreed a £7.5million deal.
The fee for the former Blackburn Rovers player surpassed the £7.25million West Ham paid Norwich City - the club where Bellamy started his career - for Dean Ashton in January 2006.
