WALES manager John Toshack has paid tribute to captain fantastic Craig Bellamy after the West Ham United striker's goal clinched a fine 1-0 friendly win in Denmark.
The 29-year-old forward netted a superb 77th minute winner in Brondby - his first international goal since September 2007.
Afterwards, Toshack told BBC Sport he was delighted with his skipper.
"I asked him to play deeper and go behind and he still got his chances in the first half and scored the winning goal as well," he said.
Toshack also paid tribute to young Irons' midfielder Jack Collison, who produced an impressive performance in the heart of the Dragons' midfield, and debutant Arsenal teenager Aaron Ramsey.
"Ramsey and (Jack) Collison also did well particularly in view of the fact there's not a great deal of experience around them," the boss added.
"They are among their friends, they've all come through together."
