NIGEL Quashie has extended his loan spell at Championship promotion-chasers Birmingham City by a further month.
The 30-year-old Scotland midfielder has spent the past four weeks at St Andrews after completing a successful trial period with the club.
And, having made four appearances for the Blues in that time, manager Alex McLeish has agreed a deal to keep the former Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion man in the Midlands.
Quashie will now remain at Birmingham until December 28, during which time the second-placed club has no fewer than eight league fixtures.
