GARON PARK Golf Club has held its Memorial Day, raising £611 for the “Breath of Life Fund” which part of the British Lung Foundation.
A field of 60 players, including ladies and cadets, enjoyed a mixed fourball team competition for the Ray Singleton Trophy which was won by Mike Fry, Martin Songhurst Liam Evans (cadet) and Mark Williams with Chris Shelley, Mark Sadler, Jamie Sadler and Steve Craven winning the men’s competition.
In the Men’s Monthly Medal, scoring was low, with the best score going to Luke Goringe (11) with a nett score of 66. Luke received a two shot reduction in his handicap under the “Exceptional Scoring System”. Two players shared second place with a nett 67, Sam Bushby (10) and Rob Burry (12)
