BALLARDS GORE: A husband-and-wife team are the new captains at the Canewdon club.
Lynn Brand dressed up as Nora Batty from Last of the Summer Wine for her driving in as ladies' captain a fortnight ago.
And at the weekend it was the turn of her husband Fred to drive-in as men's captain at Ballards Gore.
He donned a Batman outfit for the occasion, while vice-captain Martin Cork wore a Robin costume.
The captain's drive in competition was a Texas scramble.
The front nine was won by Mark Hazelton, John Carr, Mike Edwards and Phil Domonique, with Gary Nicholls, Angie Callender, Dave Carter, Marion Carter taking the honours on the back nine.
