Freddy Eastwood - could soon be leaving Southend United
Southend United's star striker Freddy Eastwood was tonight edging closer to leaving Roots Hall.
Two Championship clubs are locked in a battle for the former Grays Athletic forward's services.
The Shrimpers have already turned down bids of £1.5m for the want-away player.
But after an improved transfer offer was tabled, it may prove too much of a temptation for Roots Hall bosses to refuse.
