MORE than 200 girls from schools across Southend took part in the Southend Primary School Sports Association football competition at Hamstel Junior School.
The day was split into a festival for emerging schools in the morning, followed by the main competition in the afternoon where nine schools competed for the title.
The winning school was Fairways with Heycroft finishing as runners-up. Both schools will represent the borough in Chelmsford on November 18 in the Essex Finals. Bournes Green were third.
