HAYDEN Skinner hopes to be the next South Essex Gymnastics Club star to be pushing for international glory.
The 15-year-0ld trains regularly alongside the likes of Max Whitlock and Brinn Bevan in Basildon.
And he dreams of being able to follow in their foot-steps.
“What happens when they come back from the major championships is amazing and I would love to be able to get where they are,” said Skinner.
“I train alongside them six days a week here which is just brilliant and I’m really inspired by what they all continue to achieve.
“One day I would love to go to the Olympics and get a medal and that’s my dream I’m working towards.”
With that in mind, the Deanes School pupil already trains six days a week.
And he has already been at the club for 10 years.
“I started when I was five and I’ve been coming ever since,” said Skinner.
“It started for me when my mum’s friend put her son into a class and because I was a really hyper-active kid my mum put me in too.
“But I’ve loved it ever since and really enjoy being here.”
