JACKSON Wray put in an impressive performance to help Saracens beat Bath 34-24 in the Premiership on Sunday.

Wray was selected as man of the match by BT Sports who screened the match live from Allianz Park.

And the former King John School pupil was thrilled to have helped Saracens secure another vital win.

“It was very good to the get the win against a strong Bath side,” said Wray, 24.

“It was a fantastic win but we were off at times and they punished us for that.

“Overall we did well though, we fronted up in the set piece and we’re all really pleased.”

Saracens remain third in the Premiership standings but they are now just four points behind second placed Bath.

And Wray insisted it had therefore been crucial to come out on top.

“You look at the table and it’s very tight at the top so we need to get as many wins as we can and we certainly needed to reverse the result from our game with Bath earlier on in the season,” said Wray, whose side lost 21-11 at Bath in October.

“It was great to get the four points we needed.”
