WESTCLIFF face the toughest possible task in National Three London & SE tomorrow as they travel to table-topping Tonbridge Juddian.
Third from bottom Westcliff have been beaten five times in their last six games but will be looking to spring a surprise against a Tonbridge side who have lost twice in 16 outings this term.
And Westcliff’s director of rugby Nick Sigwart is expecting a difficult afternoon.
“TJs away is a tough game and we know we will be in for a hard day at the office,” said Sigwart.
“But we have been getting better and better over the last few weeks.
“We can throw caution to the wind and really go for it this week.”
Westcliff were seen off 36-13 by Hertford last weekend.
However, Sigwart was buoyed by the performance.
“We played well last week despite the score-line and in parts we played very well,” said Sigwart.
“It has often been the case this season that we have been in contention for long periods of the game but have then conceded a soft try which has taken the game away from us and this was the case again last week.”
Westcliff welcome back prop forwards Will Weston and Randal Whitmore this weekend while talented youngsters hooker Fin Macintyre and back row Callum Bartlett will continue in the starting line-up.
