THURROCK dug deep to win an entertaining London One North clash 36-33 at Fullerians.

T’s fought back well in the second half to come out on top.

And their director of rugby Dean White was delighted to win a difficult game.

“Fullerians were a tough test on Saturday, they have a big pack and are very well drilled,” said White.

“We knew what was coming but sometimes it’s hard to stop a big pack close to your line.

“The first half didn’t go as planned but the second half we dug deep and came away with a bonus point win.

“We again scored some great tries but also conceded too many.

“All of their points came from driving mauls and we must work hard at training to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.”

The victory - which was Thurrock’s fourth in six games - kept them fifth in the table.

And White was encouraged by the spirit his side showed in securing their latest win.

“The team showed a lot of heart to come back away from home to win the game,” said White.

“We showed that the players are playing for the shirt and that’s very satisfying.

“We now look forward to a massive game in two weeks against Brentwood and we will be training hard to prepare for this game.”
