UNBEATEN South Woodham Ferrers face a mouth-watering clash at table-topping Diss in London Two North East tomorrow.

Woodham have won all four of their matches so far this season and have two games in hand on Diss who are currently six points above them in standings.

And head coach Tony Woods is relishing Saturday’s trip to Suffolk.

“Tomorrow’s game is going to be a test and will show just how far we have come since the end of last season,” said Woods.

“Diss are a forward dominated side and we’ve been working hard in training with great numbers on how to control the breakdown and dominate in the pack so we’re prepared in that department.

“Our backs’ creativity this season has been a joy to watch so I once again hope to see them let loose on Saturday.”

South Woodham Ferrers are likely to welcome back Adam Brown into the squad following the birth of his daughter last Saturday.

However, Ollie Trigg is unavailable which sees Greg Tighe and Ryan Marshall starting in the second row.

And Marshall, who skippered the side last season, is keen to build on last weekend’s 36-10 win at Norwich.

“Last Saturday was great,” said Marshall.

“I’ve been talking about my nudge through to set up Ross Noakes all week!

“Numbers at training have shown just how committed to this season the boys are.

“I hope to be celebrating another win on Saturday but Diss are a strong team, especially at home.

“However, I know we have the confidence and ability to go and win so hopefully we can keep this good run going.”
