IN-FORM South Woodham Ferrers host Norwich in a crunch London Two North East clash tomorrow.

Woodham are level on points with league leaders Diss who they host next weekend.

But head coach Tony Woods believes Saturday’s game is far more important at this stage.

“This weekend’s game against Norwich is bigger than Diss next week,” stressed Woods.

“We need to not be complacent and need to make sure Diss come to us next week with all the pressure on them.”

Woodham have also selected Matthew Taylor on the bench as he looks to make his first team debut after a season impressing in the seconds.

And Woods is looking forward to seeing him make the step up.

“Matt offers something different in our back line,” said Woods.

“He is rangy and his turn of pace will cause problems for any opposition in the backs.”

Woodham, who are currently sitting in the club’s highest ever league position, are also happy to welcome back Tani Loka.

First team manager Jack Kershaw said: “Tani was away last weekend due to his dad passing away.

“He came back into training this week and has worked hard knowing the squad’s competition for places is high especially after a 54-5 win against Woodford last week.

“This weekend is key and a win will take all the pressure off us and put it all on Diss next week who will be travelling to a side who have not lost at home all season - if we beat Norwich.”
