SOUTHEND Saxons’ relegation from the London & SE Premier Division was confirmed with a convincing 71-3 defeat at Hertford on Saturday.
Saxons - who have been beaten 19 times in 23 games so far this season - will play in London One North next term.
And Southend’s head coach Josh Ward was disappointed with the defeat.
“We’re naturally disappointed with the outcome,” said Ward.
“Hertford are a good side but we’re looking forward to getting back to Warners Bridge against Dorking.”
Southend Saxons: Ramsey, Radzevicius, Short, Vaughan, McVeigh, Dobson, O’Brien, Reeman, Forster-Knight, Bailey, Wood, Morrison, Wagstaff, Read, Shields.
Replacements: Dyer, Maggiolo & Sprangers
