OUR busy schedule continues with another game tomorrow as we face Northampton Town at Roots Hall.

It’s our ninth goal in 36 days and I think that’s starting to show.

The lads looked tired after an initial bright opening half an hour against Barnet in the week and we need to start well again this weekend because I think it’s quite likely we will start to tire again.

We have done our best to keep the players fresh in the build up to the game but we haven’t been helped by a bout of sickness and diarrhea which a few of the players are struggling with.

On top of that we still have some injuries and Mark Phillips will still be out with his groin injury.

He had an injection on it last weekend but it takes seven days to work so he can’t play again yet and Anthony Grant is also out because of the concussion he suffered at Torquay.

Kane Ferdinand is touch and go and I thought we missed him against Barnet.

Harry Crawford is also still doubtful and we will have to see how Barry Corr is too because his hamstring is still tight.

It’s not ideal and I’m delighted that we aren’t playing next Tuesday as it will give us some time to rest up and get more players back fit.

I have still been looking at getting players in on loan but I don’t expect anything to happen on that front before our game with Northampton.

They will be difficult to beat and their recent results have shown that with them picking up five straight draws.

It will be a tight game and we will need to play well to continue our good run.

We will need our front players to be bright and I thought they were for the opening 30 minutes against Barnet.

Ryan Hall in particular did well but then he started trying to do his fancy dan stuff which wasn’t needed.

Barnet hit the post after he tried a flick which didn’t come off and you have to make the opposition work hard for their chances, not just give them away by trying things like that.

He scored a good goal though and Miguel Comminges came in to the team and did well in a position he hadn’t played before.

Lee Sawyer looked lively and I’m sure he will be a good player for us.

Louie Soares worked hard as well but it was hard for the lads who came in because they hadn’t played much football.

They might be called upon again tomorrow and hopefully we can come out on top again.
