Kane Ferdinand - played five minutes for Ireland
KANE Ferdinand played the final five minutes of Republic of Ireland's 2-1 triumph over Greece in the under 19 European Championships last night.
The Southend United midfielder came on for John O'Sullivan after defender Anthony Connor had already netted a double to fire his side to victory.
Ireland now face the Czech Republic on Saturday at 5pm knowing that victory will be enough to secure qualification for the semi-finals.
