SOUTHEND United manager Steve Tilson wants to bolster his squad by bringing in another targetman.
The Shrimpers have been hit by injuries to a number of their strikers with Dougie Freedman, Alex Revell and Francis Laurent all out.
And Tilson is therefore keen to bring in a hold up man to help his shot shy side get back on the score-sheet.
“I think with Alex being out injured that’s what we need,” he confirmed.
“So far they’ve either been too expensive or the clubs in question don’t want to let them go but we will keep plugging away in pursuit of players.”
