A SUMMER dance showcase at Belfairs High School proved to be a sellout event.
Children from West Leigh Junior School joined in the fun event and entertained the audience with their dance skills Katie-Jane Brett, head of dance at Belfairs, said: "Our annual dance showcase is extremely popular with students past, present and future coming to enjoy the event. Again this year we had more than 20 children from West Leigh Junior School participating."
The troupe has been rehearsing for most of this academic year and in all, 19 pieces were performed, ranging from Lioness Hunt to Don't Stop Me Now, and from Bollywood to Betrayal - a piece which deals with the victims of the Ipswich murders.
Miss Brett added: "We don't avoid difficult subjects. Last year's piece on the Twin Towers catastrophe was extremely moving, just as our Grease and Men in Black this year were extremely exuberant."
