EASTWOOD resident Gladys Todd, known as Toddy, celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends.
Mrs Todd, a resident at South Essex Homes’ Bishop House sheltered scheme in Western Approaches, Eastwood, held a special party attended by mayor Gwen Horrigan.
The birthday girl was presented with flowers and had a special surprise when her two granddaughters and two great grandsons arrived from the West Country.
This was followed by a dance with family and friends.
Mrs Todd is still active and enjoying weekly shopping trips to Southend and Rayleigh.
