A spokesman for c2c, said: "Due to trespassers on the railway at Southend East all lines are blocked.
"Train services running across the whole c2c network may be cancelled, delayed or diverted."
c2c has confirmed one person has been arrested by the British Transport Police.
The British Transport Police has been contacted for comment.
UPDATE - all lines now open, but delays and diversions may still be experienced.
