A CURRY house which has a number of venues across south Essex is offering free Vindaloos – providing England win the Euros final against Italy.

To celebrate the Three Lions’ success over Denmark in last night’s semi-final, Kushi has announced its conditional special offer to customers.

The restaurant and takeaway chain has curry houses in Canvey, Ockendon, Grays, Tilbury and Brentwood.

For those who find vindaloo too hot to handle, Kushi will be offering both the usual mouth-burning version of the dish, plus an authentic Goan rendering of the dish – which is not quite as mouth wateringly spicy.

Kushi restaurateur Sharif Uddin said: “I’m so thrilled with England’s win against Denmark, I want customers to celebrate in traditional football fashion, with a vindaloo curry, in honour of the chart-topping anthem by Fat Les, loved by football fans."

Head chef Stephen Gomes added: “Not only are we hoping to celebrate an English victory with a favourite British Indian dish, I’m hoping to introduce local curry lovers to more traditional versions, based on family recipes handed down through the generations.”

Kushi has previously given away 15,000 free meals to NHS staff during the pandemic to show its gratitude to the nurses and doctors working on Essex and Kent.

A Vindaloo at Kushi starts from £7.25.

The offer runs between now and Sunday, meaning customers can present their bills in this time to claim their free vindaloo.

It is only available IF England win Sunday’s final…
