A127 closed amid reports of 'someone being talked down' off bridge
There are reports the A127 is closed this evening while emergency services deal with an ongoing incident.
AC Taxis has issued an update to customers on its Facebook page saying the road was shut between The Bell junction and the Tesco Extra roundabout.
It said the closure was in place due to 'someone being talked down off a bridge'.
AA's traffic maps shows there is a closure in place along the A127 in Southend now and traffic is slow moving.
AC Taxis has been contacted for further comment.
Essex Police has since provided the Echo with an update on this incident.
