Homophobic abuse scrawled across locations in Southend

Two pieces of graffiti appeared outside Westcliff Library and on Darlinghurst Grove.

One reads "Queers", with an arrow pointing towards the entrance to the library, with another reading "f**k you pride month."

Southend Pride was cancelled earlier this month.

Laurie Burton, Labour councillor of the Blenheim Ward, said: "Disappointed to see two bits of homophobic graffiti today in Southend. Reported to graffiti team at Southend Council."
