Tributes have been paid to a councillor described as a "friend and long standing" community representative.
It has now been announced that Tory Castle Point councillor Bill Dick died yesterday.
Leading tributes on social media the Castle Point Tories described him as a "friend and long standing Councillor."

A spokesman said: "We are sad to report the passing of our friend and long standing Councillor, Bill Dick earlier today. Rest in Peace Bill, you will not be forgotten."
Mr Dick represented St. Peter's ward in Castle Point on the council and he was also an Essex County councillor.
Among his work was support for fight to keep non-urgent blood testing services in south Essex and he was also mayor of the borough in 1992.
