TWO teenage boys will appear in court in connection with a robbery in Southend.

It was reported a 13 year-old boy was threatened by a group of a people in High Street on January 13 before being hit around the head.

The victim ran off from the area but had his bike stolen.

Three teenage boys were arrested within two hours of the incident.

A 16 year-old has since been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

A 15 year-old has been charged with robbery and two counts of possession of a knife in a public place.

The duo will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday, January 21).

Another 15-year-old boy arrested in connection with the robbery has been bailed until February 5.
