Summer has officially arrived to Southend Pier as its opening hours have been extended.
Visit Southend has announced the new daily opening times for the landmark as its summer season officially begins.
The pier is now open from 10.15am to 9pm, with last entry one hour before closing.

And there's plenty to enjoy this season from the new Pier Burger Hut to the exciting jubilee on the pier event.
Southend Council has invested £336,000 in a series of improvements on the pier.
This includes the restaurant at the end of the pier being revamped and work set to take place on a new viewing platform and improved toilets.
New all-electric pier trains were also unveiled earlier this year.
